Database Driven Website

The Databse Driven Website package contains all the elements and follows the same procedure as the Standard Business Website package but has a Content and Customer Management System added.

We create a password protected area of the site where you can login to edit the page content of the website and manage your customer details and enquiries. This gives you the enormous benefit of being able to manage your site content, customer enquiries and emails from anywhere that you can connect to the internet.

You are notified by email of new enquiries which you can then deal with right away. This is an ideal solution if you are on the road all day but still need to deal with your enquiries. If your enquiries are a vital part of your business we can even have them sent to your mobile phone as a text message.

The system has two main parts.

• Content Management
  This part retrieves the 'text content' for each page as it loads on the website from a database that is completely editable in the administration panel. This can be very useful if you need to show upcoming events, latest news, product launches or any changing information that needs to be regularly updated. It means that the updating can be done in-house without the need for a web developer or agency to do the work for you. No specialist knowledge is required!
• Customer Management
  When a visitor to your site makes an enquiry, the processing of the enquiry will send you an email as with the Standard Business Website package but in this case it also creates a customer file in the system database.
  
  Details such as names, addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses can all be stored easily. In addition, the system can store notes about your interactions with your customer and you can even set reminders for each file, for example to telephone the customer on a particular date.

Once the site is finished we proof read it and thoroughly test it ready for your final approval before putting the site onto your website hosting.

There are extra hosting requirements for the Database Driven Website such as the database (we use Mysql) and the PHP scripting language but any good hosting company will offer these and we can make all the necessary arrangements for you.
